| In the Bologna method,
also known as the “bag”,
the inside lining is stitched in the form
of a little bag around the last,
thus making the shoe softer and more
flexible. |
In the Blake method, the upper,
the leather midsole and the sole
are sewn together using chain stitch.
This stitching is run inside a channel
created in the sole in order to protect
the stitches, which would otherwise be in
direct contact with the sole. |
In the Tubular method, the shoe
is made without the use of a midsole.
It is in fact the upper which on covering
the base of the foot with the toe-cap part,
comes up to cover the sides and,
by means of a close set of small pleats,
is attached to the base
with a hand-sewn “moccasin” stitch. |
The used Goodyear shoe is paradoxically
more attractive than a new shoe.
The initial stiffness with use turns into
a product which is totally adapted
to the client’s foot, creating a perfect
union between elegance and comfort.
Goodyear shoes are compact,
strong and long-lasting. |
